Michael Mauceli

Michael Mauceli has been the founder and CEO of REI Energy, LLC since 1987 - more than 40 years spent drilling, operating, and acquiring oil and gas interests across the country. Under his leadership, REI Energy has grown from a startup into a major player in the sector, participating in, operating, or acquiring interests in over 3,000 wells across 11 states, with current operations in the Bakken Shale, Cherokee Shale, and Austin Chalk trend. His track record reaches well beyond U.S. borders, too: REI once managed a 2-million-acre concession in Argentina's Northwest Basin - drilling the country's fourth-deepest well - and operated one of the deepest horizontal wells in the world at the time in Alberta's foothills. He's also an author and energy educator who hosts a weekly podcast on the industry.
